 Good starting point, although you need something to really secure the GPS. Don't spill brake fluid on it either... Aug 23, 2010
I had the mount attached to my bike and got a little brake fluid on it while doing maintenance on my bike. The plastic in the mount did not like the chemicals in the brake fluid and after a valiant struggle it decided to retreat into several pieces. Luckily I did not have the NUVI on the mount at the time. I know brake fluid is pretty nasty stuff, but I didn't even have time to wash it off before the mount disinegrated. I'd buy another one just to watch it happen again, it was pretty cool.
I think if you can keep brake fluid away from the mount it makes a good starting point to mounting the NUVI to your bike. I would highly suggested having something as a backup in case the GPS pops off the mount. It would be awesome if they had something on the mount that you could put zip ties through so you can zip tie the GPS to the mount or something like that. It really needs something more than what it has.

The small ball size lets the GPS flop around on the bike. customer service was great, though. Sent me a replacement very quickly after I sent them an email.

I bought one of these to use on my motorcycle. It lasted about 2 rides before it broke at the base. The only thing that saved my GPS was the cord. I complained to the distributor and was eventually sent a replacement. The replacement failed on the first ride while doing 65 mph down the highway. I was trying to secure my dangling GPS while riding. It created a very dangerous condition. I would not waste my time, money, or life on this piece of garbage product. Spend the extra money and buy a quality RAM mount. You get what you pay for.

Don't buy it Aug 04, 2009
Well, this is about the crappiest product I've bought in a very long time. Mounted to the handlebar of my motorcycle the mount lasted about 20 miles. The mount broke at the base of the stem spilling the GPS onto the pavement at about 45 MPH.
In hindsight I should have not entrusted my $200+ GPS to a crappy plastic part.
